September 23, 2026 – ADM employees continued their commitment to community service Tuesday, September 22, volunteering at Lindsey Life Adult Day Center in Decatur as part of the company’s global Acts for Impact campaign.
Approximately 20 ADM employees spent the afternoon at the center, located at 1685 South Franklin Street, assisting with a variety of projects designed to support staff and members.
Volunteers assembled care kits to be kept on-site and distributed to members as needed. Employees also painted curbs, decorated for fall, pulled weeds, cleaned, hung televisions and completed other projects around the facility.
Jennifer Ballinger, director of ADM Cares, said the volunteer effort is part of the company’s six-week global Acts for Impact campaign, which has reached its halfway point. According to Ballinger, the campaign has generated considerable enthusiasm among ADM employees, with an expanded range of volunteer opportunities allowing participants to contribute in different ways.
“I think there’s just been so much energy, especially this time around, the extended opportunities. There’s lots of different things. There’s something for everyone, truly,” Ballinger said.
She added that Lindsey Life’s relatively new presence in Decatur helped generate interest among employees who wanted to support the organization.
The afternoon offered volunteers a variety of ways to contribute, from physical labor and facility maintenance to assembling care kits and decorating.
The Lindsey Life project is one of the volunteer opportunities offered through ADM’s six-week Acts for Impact campaign, which encourages employees to give back to their communities through hands-on service.
