September 23, 2026 – The Macon County Health Department is offering homebound vaccination services for adults who are unable to leave their homes because of illness, disability or limited mobility.
The service is designed to help remove transportation and mobility barriers so residents can receive vaccinations in their homes.
Homebound vaccination services are available for influenza, COVID-19, pneumonia, RSV and shingles.
The Health Department says vaccination is an important step in protecting health, particularly for adults who may be at increased risk for serious illness.
