The three-day event will feature a free haunted hayride, demolition derby, painted pumpkins, craft and shopping vendors, food trucks, carnival rides and activities for children and families.
The haunted hayride will operate Saturday from 3 to 10 p.m., with kid-friendly hours from 3 to 7 p.m. On Sunday, the hayride will run from 1 to 6 p.m. and will be kid-friendly throughout the afternoon.
A new Harvest Festival Pageant will be held Saturday at 1 p.m. in the Dunn Company Community Building across from the grandstand. The pageant includes five age categories for participants ages 5 through 21, including a Little Mister category.
Also new this year is free Trunk or Treating Sunday from 1 to 3 p.m. Participants are encouraged to wear Halloween costumes and can collect treats from decorated vehicles. A prize will be awarded for the best-decorated trunk, including a gift card, two tickets to the 2027 Macon County Fair and bragging rights.
Children can also participate in a free foam party Sunday from 3 to 5 p.m. Participants should bring a towel or a change of clothes.
Free Touch-A-Truck displays will also be available for visitors of all ages.
Shopping vendors will be located in the Maltas Building throughout the festival. Organizers say the building is full of vendors.
The demolition derby will take place Saturday evening in the grandstand, with Power Wheels beginning at 5 p.m. and the demolition derby at 6 p.m. Tickets are available online or at the ticket window at the fairgrounds.
Demolition derby ticket prices are $15 for adults, $6 for children ages 5 through 11, and free for children age 4 and younger.
General admission to the Harvest Festival is $10 for people age 12 and older, $5 for children ages 5 through 11, and free for children 4 and younger. Parking is free.
