July 17, 2023 – Nominations are now open for Huddle House Decatur’s ‘Huddle Up’ award, which recognizes outstanding achievements by local middle and high school students.

“We are thrilled to launch the Huddle Up recognition program at Huddle House Decatur,” said William Johnson, Huddle House’s General Manager, in a press release. “This initiative provides an opportunity for us to recognize the hard work, determination, and contributions of young people in our community. We believe in supporting and uplifting local talent, and this program allows us to do just that.”

The new recognition program aims to honor exceptional performance, sportsmanship and community involvement in athletics, agriculture or the arts. Huddle House officials said celebrating local talent is important, and they seek to recognize youth who have not only excelled in their respective activities but also positively impacted their communities.

Nominations are currently being accepted via a short Google Form on the diner’s website. Nominators are asked to provide basic contact information about themselves and the nominee as well as a brief description of their accomplishments and contributions to the community. Local students can be nominated by coaches, teachers, family members, and more.

The selected awardee will receive a special menu item named after them, a featured spot on the restaurant’s website, a certificate and increased exposure in the community. For more information and to submit a nomination, click HERE.
