September 21, 2023 – Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central Illinois will host a Wine, Women & Shoes fundraising event on October 5 at Venue Chisca in Peoria.
Started in California’s Napa Valley in 2005, Wine Women & Shoes (commonly known as WW&S) is a national fundraising series used by nonprofits across the country, including Central Illinois’ Ronald McDonald House.
For $125, local ladies are encouraged to slip on stilettos or flats on Thursday, October 5 from 6-9 p.m. at the Peoria venue to enjoy wine tasting, designer shopping, gourmet food, raffle opportunities and a ‘Best in Shoe’ contest. All proceeds benefit Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central Illinois, which provides a supportive place for families to stay while their child is receiving medical care and supports programs that directly improve the health and well-being of children.
Wines from Conundrum and Sea Sun will be available for tasting, and representatives from Shoe Guys will be onsite to showcase the season’s hottest footwear. Jewelry and fashion vendors plus a live auction will be available throughout the evening, and the night will wrap up with a fashion show. All funds raised will support Ronald McDonald programs, including providing housing for families with children receiving medical care and other programs supporting youth well-being.
