September 11, 2023 – The Decatur Area Arts Council says registration is available for their 2023 fall arts classes.
Classes are held at the Madden Arts Center at 125 North Water Street in downtown Decatur. Advance registration is required. You can register for classes online, by calling 217-423-3189 or printing the registration form and mailing it to the Madden Arts Center.
Classes include:
- Painting Bird Houses with the Audubon Society – Sat., Sept. 23 – 10:30 am-12:30 pm
- Writing from the Heart – Tuesdays, Oct. 3, 10, 17, 24 – 6-7:30 pm
- Cocktails & Creations: Wacky Witch Hats – Thurs., Oct. 12 – 6-8 pm
- Trick or Treat Bag Decorating – Sat., Oct. 28 – 10:30 am-12:30 pm
- Gallery 510 Framing Demonstration – Sat., Nov. 11 – 2-4 pm
- Bonnie’s Baskets Weaving – Sat., Dec. 2 – 11:00am-3:00 pm
Social Dance Series
- Social Dancing-October – Thursdays, Oct. 5-26 – 7-8 pm
- Social Dancing-November – Thursdays, Nov. 2, 9, 16, 30 – 7-8 pm
Homeschool Series and Afterschool Series
- Homeschool Art Series – Mondays, Sept. 18-Nov. 6 – 1-2:30 pm

Area youth, families, and community groups can arrange a guided tour through the Anne Lloyd Gallery exhibit and an art project in the Barnett Art Studio with an instructor.
