December 12, 2024 – The Salvation Army is hosting a friendly competition between local community mayors with a bell-ringing challenge.

Mayors of Forsyth and Maroa will be ringing bells at select locations on Dec 14 to see which mayor can raise the most for the Red Kettle campaign. Each mayor will also be hosting their own virtual kettle during the week so people can donate online.

Mayors that are ringing this weekend include:

  • Jim Peck – Forsyth…ringing Dec 14 at Hobby Lobby 10 am to 6 p
  • Ryan Wilkey – Maroa…ringing Dec 14 at Full House & at a variety of Maroa Locations

Mayors Luke Williams of Mt Zion and Aaron Keathley of Oreana rang bells last week but are still accepting donations to their virtural kettle.

Last year, our winner was Aaron Keathley from Oreana.

Donate in their storefront kettles or scan the QR code here to find their Virtual Kettle to make a donation to help them win this year & to support the programs of The Salvation Army.
