January 16, 2025- The 8th Annual Argenta Ice Fest will be held Saturday, February 8th, featuring almost 50 ice sculptures by Olympic Gold Medalist ice carver Aaric Kendall and other ice sculpture artists.

Icefest, presented by Argenta in Motion, will take place from 11 am to 6 pm in downtown Argenta and throughout Prairie Park. The event is free and open to the public. Highlights include a drive-thru ice sculpture viewing from 11am to 6pm, live ice carvings, kids games, food, and more.

Nearly 50 ice sculptures will be placed throughout Prairie Park and downtown Argenta. On its website, organizers say the event has grown since its inception in 20217. “Argenta IceFest has added nearly double the amount of sculptures and many other family-friendly activities. All sculptures are carved by Argenta Native, Olympic Gold Medalist Ice Carver, Aaric Kendall, and other talented artists.”

Argenta native Aaric Kendall is a winner of the U.S. Ice Carving Nationals and was a Bronze Medalist at the Turin Olympics and won Gold in Vancouver. He placed 2nd at the World Ice Art Championships in 2015. Kendall also owns Double A Carving Company.
