February 24, 2024 – Just a reminder to make changes to your commute beginning Monday if you normally utilize Brush College Road.
Brush College Road between Olive St. and Hickory St. (the underpass) will be closed for an extensive period beginning Monday February 26th to being the first part of a plan to create an overpass.
The closure will remain through the end of October of this year. The road will be impassable during this time. Drivers are encouraged to use 22nd street as a detour around this closure. Businesses along Brush College Road will still be OPEN and accessible.
For the same long-term time frame, a short stretch of Brush College Road north of Faries Parkway will be reduced to two lanes (down from four). The eastern two lanes will transition to a southbound and northbound lane.
The city says it will continue to make updates about the project on its website.
