British pop singer Lily Allen has candidly stated that having children "totally ruined" her career. “I mean I love them and they complete me, but in terms of pop stardom, totally ruined it,” she joked on the Radio Times podcast. Allen dismissed the notion of being able to "have it all," stating that “some people choose their career over their children and that’s their prerogative.”
She says she ultimately chose to step back from her career to focus on raising her two daughters and provide them with an upbringing different from her own. "And I’m glad that I have done that because I think they’re pretty well-rounded people," Allen said. She currently resides in New York City with her daughters and husband, Stranger Things actor David Harbour.
