IDOT asking for public input for Illinois Travelers Opinion Survey

Apr 8, 2024 | 10:49 AM

April 8, 2024 -The Illinois Department of Transportation is asking the public to provide feedback on the state’s transportation system and the department’s overall performance through its annual Illinois Traveler Opinion Survey.

Available now through April 26, the survey can be taken online by visiting idot.illinois.gov. Conducted in partnership with the University of Illinois Springfield, the survey is a chance for people to give their opinion on a range of topics. This year’s survey asks for input on road conditions, ice-and-snow removal, planning priorities, electronic vehicles and more.

Illinois is home to one of the largest transportation systems in the nation, including roads, railways, transit, aviation facilities, waterways, bicycle/pedestrian accommodations, and other intermodal facilities. The Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT) is responsible for maintaining federal and state highways in Illinois, outside of the tollway system.

The results from this study will identify those areas where IDOT is doing well and those areas where the public feels IDOT needs to improve. Participation in this survey is entirely voluntary and you may stop at any time by closing your browser. Your participation should take approximately six minutes. A person is eligible to participate in this survey if they are at least 18 years of age and a resident of Illinois.
