A torrential downpour hit Myrtle Beach, South Carolina as Carrie Underwood was set to finish her headlining set at the Carolina Country Music Fest on Sunday night. But the country superstar returned to the stage to end her show with the standard set finale, “Before He Cheats,” which she delivered in a driving rainstorm. As Underwood was leaving the rain-slicked stage following her final number, she slipped and fell going down the stairs leading offstage. The eight-time Grammy winner was thankfully not injured in her fall, and posted rain-drenched footage of the end of her show on X, saying, “We won’t let a little rain stop us! We won’t let a massive downpour stop us, either!” Underwood is set to play Canandaigua, New York on June 21, before her first ever live shows in Hawaii in late July. (Parade)
