About Your Host: Tanya Andricks

Tanya graduated from Millikin University School of Nursing in 1995 and immediately went to work at Decatur Memorial Hospital in the emergency department. After several years as a Clinician, Tanya pursued her interest in Nursing Administration in the role of Director of Maternal Child Nursing Services at DMH.

Tanya’s passion for community health prompted a role change in 2003 to Administrative Director of Home Health Services for DMH. During her time as Administrator, Tanya developed a Tele-Monitoring program for congestive heart failure patients, as well as an Inpatient Palliative Care Program.

In 2013 Tanya accepted the role of CEO at Crossing Healthcare (formerly CHIC) a federally grant funded community health center providing comprehensive health services to the medically underserved residents of Macon County. Under her leadership, Crossing Healthcare has grown from providing healthcare to 7000 patients annually to 20,000 residents of Macon County.

In 2018 the Howard G. Buffett Foundation announced an investment of $30 Million dollars for the development of a residential rehabilitation facility to provide treatment for those with Substance Use Disorder (SUD), and a supporting campus with Crossing Healthcare as the owner and operator. The campus opened in 2019 and continues to provide comprehensive substance use treatment to the Decatur and Macon county community.

Tanya serves as Chair-Elect of the Board of Directors for the Illinois Primary Health Care Association.

Tanya enjoys time with her children and dog as well as hiking and running. Tanya also enjoys volunteering as a Trustee of Millikin University her Alma Mater. Tanya served as a member of the DMH Foundation Board, currently resides on the Decatur Memorial Hospital Board, the St. Mary’s Hospital Patient Advisory Board, as well as the Macon County Continuum of Care Board for the Department of Housing and Urban Development.
