January 6, 2025 – A GoFund Me has been started for the family of Jack Brinkoetter, the 10 year old Mt Zion boy who tragically lost his life Sunday during an ATV innertube sledding accident.
The Go Fund me, started by family members, stated “his family is now facing not only the emotional pain of this tragedy but also the financial burden of funeral expenses and the challenges that lie ahead. We are raising funds to help them cover these costs and provide some financial stability during this incredibly difficult time.”

Another 10 year old child was injured in the accident and was transferred to a trauma center in Springfield, Illinois with life threatening injuries. He remains in critical condition.
