Matt Snyder appointed Principal of St Teresa High School effective July 1st

March 12, 2025 – Matt Snyder has recently been appointed by the St. Teresa High School Board of Directors to the position of St. Teresa High School Principal for the 2025-2026 school year with an official start date of July 1, 2025. He is replacing Larry Daly as the Principal, who has recently taken the position of Central A&M High School Principal. 

Snyder is a familiar face in Central Illinois education having served as the Regional Superintendent of Schools for Macon-Piatt Counties from 2009 -2022, as well as the Assistant Principal/Athletic Director at St. Teresa since 2022. Snyder has had an exemplary career in education and athletics, having served as both teacher and coach at Argenta-Oreana High School and Champaign Central High School. Before joining the Regional Office, Snyder was a Dean of Students at Eisenhower High School in Decatur. 

Dr. Kenneth Hendriksen, Executive Director, stated “Matt Snyder is an outstanding educator who will lead St. Teresa as we continue to move forward”. 

Mr. Larry Daly, St. Teresa High School Principal stated, “We are very fortunate to have Matt continue at St. Teresa High School; he brings a wealth of knowledge and experience into the position. He will certainly be an asset to the school.” 

Matt Snyder stated, “I am excited to take on the role of principal at St. Teresa High School and continue what those before me have established. St. Teresa has a long tradition of excellence in the classroom, on the sports fields and in the arts and I look forward to continuing those traditions. I will work hard to grow our enrollment and attract and maintain a high quality staff.”
