March 24, 2021 – The Macon County Health Department (MCHD) is holding a Moderna COVID-19 Vaccination Clinic on Thursday, March 25th at Richland Community College at the National Sequestration Education Center (3357 N. President Howard Brown Blvd.) near the wind turbines.

Due to numerous appointment slots still being available, the MCHD has made the decision to open this clinic to those who qualify for the vaccine in Phases 1A, 1B, 1B+ or higher education staff, government workers, or media; who live or work in Macon County; and who wish to receive their first dose of the vaccine. Eligible persons can call (217) 718-6205 from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. or visit their website to schedule an appointment.

Persons who book an appointment must be able to come back on Thursday, April 22nd for their second dose. Before arriving to the clinic, please take your temperature and screen yourself for COVID-19 symptoms. If you have a temperature greater than 100.4 degrees or are experiencing any symptoms or signs of illness, do not attend the clinic. Please bring a photo ID to verify age eligibility and your current insurance card or red, white, and blue Medicare card.
