April 6, 2026— A popular local car enthusiast event series will return this spring with a full lineup of dates benefiting area organizations.
“Cars and Coffee 2026” will kick off April 11 at 661 East Wood Street to benefit the Macon County Animal Shelter. The event runs from 8 to 11 a.m. and invites the public to view a variety of vehicles while enjoying coffee and refreshments.
The series will continue throughout the year at different locations, each supporting a local cause. Upcoming stops include the Decatur Area Arts Council on May 2, Operation Warm Fuzzy on May 9, and the Decatur/Macon County Honor Guard on June 13.
Additional summer and fall events will benefit organizations including the YMCA Backpack Attack in July, WSOYCommunity Food Drive, Yoga for Cats, Pawprint Ministries, and the Illinois Raptor Center in October.
Organizers say the events are designed to bring the community together while raising donations for local charities. Attendees can expect a casual, family-friendly atmosphere with a rotating showcase of vehicles at each stop.
Rain dates are scheduled for select events, and donations will be collected for the featured charity at each location.
