According to Mashable, many Black TikTok creators are refusing to make dances to the song in an effort to expose how often their dances are recreated by white creators — and white creators end up getting all of the credit. Twitter users reacted to the strike. One person wrote, “BLACK TIKTOK BEING ON STRIKE IS REALLY SENDING MEEEEEE.” Another wrote, “Omg. Black TikTok creators are refusing to make a dance to Thot S*it (meg's new jawn) & the way these white creators are FLAILING. I live. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣.”

Antney claimed that French charged Gucci $5,000 for a verse and he never completed the verse after being paid.
