June 9, 2026 -Maroa is preparing for a patriotic weekend as residents and visitors gather June 26-27 for the 2026 Maroa Freedom Fest, a community celebration marking America’s 250th anniversary.
The two-day event will feature a variety of activities for all ages, including a cruise-in car show, parade, live entertainment, food vendors, craft vendors, fireworks and several family-friendly attractions.
Festivities begin Friday, June 26, with a classic small-town cruise-in and sock hop-style car show in downtown Maroa. The event is scheduled from 4 to 8 p.m. and will also include live music, food vendors and craft vendors.
The celebration continues Saturday, June 27, with a community parade, additional food and craft vendors, cow chip bingo, fireworks and other activities throughout the day.
The event comes as communities across the country commemorate the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence in 1776. Maroa’s celebration aims to combine that national milestone with the small-town traditions that have long made the annual Freedom Fest a community favorite.
