June 15, 2026 – HSHS St. Mary’s is expanding its care by launching a new Parkinson’s disease support group.
On the second Wednesday of each month at 2pm, HSHS St Mary’s will be offering support to individuals with Parkinson’s disease in the HSHS Medical Group Multispecialty Care building. The group is designed to connect participants with others who share similar experiences and hope to help learn practical strategies, engage with knowledgeable therapy, and manage daily life despite the physical and emotional challenges of Parkinson’s disease.
“Our goal for this support group is to open the door for collaboration, knowledge-sharing and support for all individuals impacted by Parkinson’s,” said HSHS Speech-Language Pathologist, Ashley Forbes.
The support group for HSHS St Mary’s is facilitated by speech, occupational and physical therapy professionals who have been trained in LSVT LOUD® and LSVT BIG®. Both programs are evidence based Parkinson’s disease treatment programs. The support group is fee to attend.
