August 16, 2026 – The fourth annual Fall Frenzy High School Bass Fishing Tournament will return to Lake Decatur on August 29 and 30.
The two-day tournament is sponsored by the City of Decatur, the Maroa-Forsyth High School Bass Fishing Team, the Decatur Area Convention and Visitors Bureau, and the Village of Forsyth. High school anglers from across Illinois are invited to compete, with two anglers fishing from each boat.
Tournament standings will be determined by the combined weight of fish caught over both days. Awards will be presented for first, second and third place overall, while the tournament’s Big Bass award will be presented each day.
A complimentary dinner for participants, coaches and boat captains is scheduled for 5 p.m. on Saturday, August 29. Raffle prizes will also be awarded during the evening through a random drawing, with winners required to be present.
