July 20, 2026 – The Macon County Health Department will host a series of back-to-school health events beginning July 21 and continuing through October 13.

The walk-in clinics are open to all Macon County students on a first-come, first-served basis and will offer services including school physicals, immunizations, lead testing and dental screenings on select dates.

A special Back-to-School event is planned for Saturday, August 1, featuring physicals, immunizations, lead testing, dental screenings, car seat checks, backpack giveaways, a community resource fair and activities for children.

Another event on August 11 will also include a community blood drive in addition to school health services.

Parents and guardians are encouraged to bring insurance information and immunization records, if available. Health department officials recommend families complete school health requirements before school denial deadlines.

Those unable to attend one of the scheduled events may contact the Macon County Health Department to arrange an appointment.
