August 4, 2026 – Crossing Healthcare is joining community health centers across the country in celebrating National Health Center Week, Aug. 2-8, recognizing the role health centers play in expanding access to affordable healthcare.

This year’s theme, “Building Innovative Care Where It Matters Most,” highlights the innovative programs and partnerships that help meet the healthcare needs of local communities.

For more than 50 years, Crossing Healthcare has expanded services in response to the needs of Macon County residents. Today, the federally qualified health center offers primary care, pediatrics through Crossing Kids, women’s health, walk-in care, behavioral health, substance use disorder treatment and dental services through its partnership with Familia Dental. The organization also operates a Prescription Produce Program supported by the Crossing Healthcare Garden.

Throughout National Health Center Week, Crossing Healthcare will host community organizations with resource booths in its lobby to connect patients with local programs and services. The organization will also recognize its employees with appreciation events throughout the week.

Crossing Healthcare serves more than 15,000 patients annually from its 17-acre campus in Decatur.
