August 5, 2026 – Decatur Memorial Hospital has been recognized by U.S. News & World Report for providing high-quality patient care in its latest annual hospital rankings.
The hospital received High Performing recognition for knee replacement and for the treatment of leukemia, lymphoma and myeloma, placing it among the nation’s top hospitals in those areas.

U.S. News & World Report evaluates hospitals using objective measures that include patient outcomes, risk-adjusted mortality rates, preventable complications and patient experience. This year’s rankings were based on data from more than 800 million patient care records.
Springfield Memorial Hospital, which is also part of Memorial Health, was recognized in this year’s rankings.
The annual Best Hospitals rankings are designed to help patients and families make informed healthcare decisions in consultation with their physicians.
