August 31, 2026 – The Macon County Fairgrounds will host its annual Harvest Festival October 9th through the 11th in Decatur. The three-day event will feature carnival rides, food trucks, shopping vendors, a demolition derby, a haunted hayride and the first Macon County Harvest Festival Pageant.
Festival hours are 5 to 10 p.m. Friday, 1 to 10 p.m. Saturday and 1 to 6 p.m. Sunday. Saturday’s schedule includes the new Harvest Festival Pageant, followed by a Power Wheels competition at 6 p.m. and the Demolition Derby at 7. Sunday activities include pumpkin painting and a new Trunk or Treat from 1 to 3 p.m.
Admission is $10 for those 12 and older, $5 for children ages 5 through 11, and free for children four and under. Carnival wristbands and tickets are available separately.
