September 15, 2026 – Millikin University graduates Delaney Higgins and Sam Bushur have been recognized with the 2026 Lindsay Medallion Awards for their accomplishments as student-athletes and leaders during their time with the Big Blue.
The awards were presented September 12. The Lindsay Medallion recognizes Millikin student-athletes who distinguish themselves in competition while demonstrating character, commitment and leadership. The award has been presented annually since 1997, with Higgins and Bushur joining an exclusive group of recipients.
Higgins, a Management Information Systems graduate from Milan, Michigan, was recognized for her career with Millikin volleyball. She was a three-time CCIW Academic All-Conference honoree and earned CCIW All-Conference First Team honors in 2024 and Second Team honors in 2025. In 2025, she led the team with 317 kills and 45 service aces.
Bushur, a Finance graduate from Teutopolis, was recognized for his career with Millikin baseball. He was part of the 2026 team that won the CCIW Championship and Tournament and advanced to the NCAA Tournament.
Bushur was a three-time CCIW Academic All-Conference honoree and earned CCIW All-Conference First Team honors in 2023 and 2025. He holds Millikin records for career hits with 227 and hits in a single season with 68.
The two were also recognized during halftime of Millikin’s opening home football game September 12.
