Gracie Abrams celebrated Halloween with a cinematic twist during her October 31 appearance on Saturday Night Live, bringing the world of Romeo + Juliet to the stage through two performances inspired by the 1996 film.

Abrams performed two songs from her third studio album, Daughter from Hell, while recreating costumes associated with the film’s leading characters.

For her first performance, Abrams sang “Hit the Wall” dressed as Juliet, wearing an angel costume inspired by Claire Danes’ character. The staging featured an aquarium, referencing the memorable scene where Romeo and Juliet first encounter each other through a fish tank.

She later returned to perform “Here You Come, There You Go,” switching to a Romeo-inspired outfit featuring a Hawaiian shirt and metallic armor sleeves, similar to Leonardo DiCaprio’s costume in the movie.

The episode, hosted by Inde Navarrette, marked Abrams’ second appearance as an SNL musical guest following her December 2024 debut.

The Halloween-themed performances combined her new music with recognizable elements of the Shakespeare-inspired film, giving each song a distinct visual setting.
