April 13, 2020 – Decatur City Manager Scot Wrighton wants to stop rumors that the Decatur Police are stopping residents violating the stay at home order.
Wrighton, in a video produced by the city, stated police are not pulling people over for being out of their home. The police will also not be stopping residents who are exercising or doing outdoor activities. Police will enforce the stay at home order in cases involving parties of 10 or more. Wrighton also said police are not out looking for businesses that are violating the order.
