September 1, 2020 – The deadline for emergency mortgage assistance applications is September 3, 2020. CICD has utilized current staff and additional contract workers to outreach and work with individuals and families in need of COVID-19 related emergency mortgage assistance in DeWitt, Macon, Moultrie, Piatt and Shelby counties.
To help mortgagees across Illinois, Governor Pritzker has made $150 million dollars available for a one-time mortgage assistance payment to individuals and families up to $15,000 due to COVID-19. The completion of an application is not a guarantee of assistance. CICD staff is available to assist individuals with navigating and completing the application process by phone or in-person as needed. The application portal is only open until September 3, 2020 and is available to access at www.ema.ihda.org. To receive assistance with the application process, please call 1-866-316-1104 and an operator will request specific intake information and a CICD staff member will follow up to explain details of the program and complete the application if eligible.
