July 28, 2022- Community members and fellow nonprofit partners were invited to not only join in celebration of Dove’s 52nd anniversary, but to get to know new staff members, learn about new leaderships roles, and learn about upcoming events.
Dove was founded in 1970 by Ray Batman, who was not only Dove’s first employee, but also served as executive director twice. In addition to the roles he served, Batman was a leading force in the organization’s mission and success for over 30 years.
At the event, guests were treated to a dessert table as they mingled with fellow guests and Dove Staff.
While some of the Dove staff included people who have served at Dove for years, there were also some new faces as well. Christina Butcher is the organization’s newly hired finance director, while Liz Mackey will now serve as program director.
While Dove is certainly undergoing changes to staff and the organization, the one thing that will remain the same is their commitment to serving their community, especially those in need.
“We are excited to continue to be out in the community, offering services to those who are in need of those services,” Darsonya Switzer, newly promoted executive director of Dove Inc. said. “And continuing to make sure we are spreading the news about all of the other services we have coming up and all of the events.”
