And if so,what is the difference?” After being dragged by the Barbs, who felt that Missy was shading Nicki — who recently hit number one with her hit “Super Freaky Girl,”she later clarified her question, denying that she was dissing Nicki or anyone else and called out the “hurtful” comments that people threw her way.
CAPITOL RECORDS SEVERS TIES WITH A.I. RAPPER FN MEKA: Capitol Music Group has severed ties with A.I. rapper FN Meka after facing backlash from activist groups and others that observed that the virtual rapper was a stereotypical caricature of Black artists. According to The New York Times, in a statement, Capitol Music Group wrote, “CMG has severed ties with the FN Meka project, effective immediately.” The statement continued, “We offer our deepest apologies to the Black community for our insensitivity in signing this project without asking enough questions about equity and the creative process behind it.” He added, “We thank those who have reached out to us with constructive feedback in the past few days — your input was invaluable as we came to the decision to end our association with the project.” FN Meka, which has 10.3 million followers on TikTok, has suspended its Instagram page as a result of the controversy.
LIL BABY'S ARTIST DIRTY TAY CHARGED IN SHOOTING OF THREE YEAR OLD: According to Fox 5 Atlanta, Lil Baby's artist Dirty Tay was arrested in connection to shooting that left a three year old wounded. Dajuan Jewell left a barbershop with his children when he noticed a “car driving erratically” and possibly trailing him. When he stopped at a traffic light, the car reportedly pulled up beside him and opened fire, striking three-year-old Javon Jewell in the head. Another child was allegedly in the vehicle as well but did not sustain any injuries. Javon was rushed to a local hospital and the bullet was reportedly removed from his head. The toddler was said to have survived the assault, but his current health status remains unknown. Dirty Tay took to IG to deny the allegations. He has been chargd with “aggravated assault, attempted murder, cruelty to children and gang-related charges.”
