Kane Brown is publicly commenting for the first time about Morgan Wallen's 2021 controversy after being caught on camera using the N-word. He told The New York Times, “This is the first time I’ve ever even talked about this, but I personally know Morgan. I texted him that day. I told him he shouldn’t have said it, but also knowing Morgan, I knew that he didn’t mean it in the way that the world thought that he meant it. I think if it was in a different context, I probably would have been fighting.”
Morgan was a co-writer on a song called “Rockstars” which Kane recorded for the deluxe edition of his self-titled debut album, originally released in 2016.
Kane's new album, Different Man, will be released on Friday (September 9th).
