September 18, 2022 – Community members joined together in celebration of the LGBTQIA+ community Saturday during Decatur Pride Fest in Fairview Park.
The family-friendly event is an annual celebration of LGBTQIA+ art, culture, history, education, and advocacy and included a pet show, voice of pride singing competition, drag shows, food trucks, live music, and vendors.
The event was sponsored by Caterpillar, Memorial Medical, CORAL (Coalition of Rainbow Alliances), Equality Illinois, Unitarian Universalist Church of Decatur, First Presbyterian Church, Decatur Audubon Society, Art Farm Decatur, Jim Barr, Heritage Behavioral Health, Kay Walker Electrology, PLAG, Prairieland Punishers, Stephanie Strick Photography, Bert Morton and Lee Korty, Dr. Rene Verry, and Mark Schleeter.
