January 19, 2022- The Night To Shine event will be making its return on February 10th. The event is sponsored by the Tim Tebow Foundation, and will be hosted by Macon Resources, GT Church, and First Christian Church. The event will be held at GT Church, from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

The Tim Tebow Foundation was created in 2010, with a mission of bringing faith, hope and love to those needing positivity in their darkest moments.

Night To Shine is an event hosted by local churches across the United States, and worldwide that provides a prom night experience to people, ages 14 and older, who have special needs.

Sponsored guests dress up in formal attire, and are treated as royalty at the event. The event includes a red carpet entrance, limousine rides, dancing, a catered dinner, and a Respite room for parents and caregivers. Each of the sponsored guests will also participate in a crowning ceremony where they will receive a crown or tiara, and be crowned kings and queens.

Charity Miller, Production Pastor and Executive Administrator for GT, is eager for the return of the event as it is an opportunity to show love to the community.

“We are excited for Night to Shine to return in February, not just for our honored guests and volunteers, but for us to show our community the abundant love of God,” Miller said. “Night to Shine is a chance to make everyone who may have been left out in other circumstances a prom king or queen. It is a chance for us to let them know that they matter, they are loved, and they are special.”

Those interested in being honored guests or volunteering can register on GT Church’s website.  The three partner organizations are accepting donations and sponsorships for this event. They are also asking for donations of dresses and suits. For more information regarding event support, contact aboyd@maconresources.org.
