October 19, 2020 – October 19 through 23 is Manufacturing Week in Macon County. Every October, USA Manufacturing is celebrated with events throughout the month. The celebration is to help illustrate the reality of modern manufacturing careers by encouraging companies as well as educational institutions around the country to open their doors for people to see how important manufacturing is firsthand.
Over the next decade, the United States will have an estimated 4.6 million manufacturing jobs that will need to be filled. Events such as Manufacturing Week are held in the hope that the next generation of manufacturers will be inspired for manufacturing careers and those who are currently looking for a new career.
