September 29, 2020 – The Decatur Area Arts Council has announced its 3rd annual community art project Christmas Card Lane for this holiday season. The event will be an outdoor exhibit and competition of giant greeting cards that are made by local artists and community groups. The Arts Council will provide artists with a 4′ by 6′ sheet of pre-primed, half-inch-thick plywood. Artists will need to provide their own supplies for their designs.
The cards will be on display in downtown Decatur at 300 North Water Street from November 23 to December 31, 2020. A community vote will be taken and the three most popular card designs will receive cash prizes. The participation fee will be $25 dollars and must be paid upon application submission. Space is limited and the event will be first come, first served.
