The holidays are right around the corner. While the pandemic shut travel plans down for most of the last two years many felt like they were going to this year… that was until the Delta variant hit.

Are you planning on traveling to see friends and family for the holidays this year? was a recent question asked by YouGov. Over 18,000 Americans answered the poll and it was split on the thought of traveling this year.

50% said they weren’t, 30% said they were, and another 20% were just not sure yet.

Those 18-34 were most likely to travel versus the 35+ crowd.

  • 18-24, 25-34 – 42%, Yes
  • 35-44 – 46%, No
  • 45-54 – 56%, No
  • 55+ – 60%, No

Politics didn’t play a role in answers. Democratic, Republican, and Independent were all strong on the ‘No’ side (Dem 51%, Rep 49%, Ind 52%).
