Holiday Cheer. Maybe not. 3 in 5 people dread going to family gatherings during the holidays.

Of those polled in a recent survey 63% say there’s always one family member who takes things too far when it comes to drinking. 58% said their whole family drinks ‘too much’ when they’re together. That wasn’t the only thing happening at the family gathering. Leaving early (43%) and yelling (39%) were also common behaviors.

Over half of us (54%) know someone who will apologize the next morning for their actions.

When it comes to the dinner table the least favorite topics to discuss were politics (47%), family gossip (42%), and personal drama (41%). Who brings it up the most? Mom then Dad.

Oh and a third in the survey they can count on their uncle to be the one to behave the host.
