By Lindsay Romano Apr 18, 2024 | 3:23 PM

April 18, 2024 – DPS61’s summer EBT program will return again this year to provide grocery-buying benefits to low-income families with school-aged children when schools are closed for the summer.

Summer EBT benefits will come as pre-loaded cards that families can use to purchase groceries.

Beginning in summer 2024, families will receive $40 per eligible child, per month. These benefits work together with other available FNS nutrition assistance programs, such as summer meal sitesSNAP, and WIC, to help ensure kids have consistent access to critical nutrition when school is out. This project has been funded at least in part with federal funds from the U.S Department of Agriculture.

How can you get EBT:

  • Complete a school meal application
  • Make the school district has your latest address on file
