May 8, 2024 -Decatur Memorial Hospital Family Birth Center is reaching out to former patients and their families to gather feedback on their birthing experiences at DMH.
A community breakfast is scheduled for May 28th at 9 am, featuring a panel discussion on the significance of respectful maternity care.
The breakfast event is part of DMH’s participation in the Birth Equity Initiative, a statewide campaign led by the Illinois Perinatal Quality Collaborative. This aims to address racial disparities in maternal mortality and pregnancy complications, with all Illinois hospitals offering labor and delivery units invited to participate.
