February 5, 2026 – Girl Scouts of Central Illinois will begin the 2026 Girl Scout Cookie season on Feb. 13. The annual program will run through March 29.
Girl Scouts say a new cookie, “Exploremores”, will be introduced this season. The rocky road–inspired sandwich cookie features chocolate, marshmallow and toasted almond–flavored crème. It will be sold alongside established varieties including Thin Mints, Caramel deLites and Peanut Butter Patties.
The Girl Scout Cookie Program is a national initiative that supports troop activities and programming. According to Girl Scouts of Central Illinois, net proceeds from cookie sales remain in the local council and are used to support troop projects, camps, travel and other activities.
The organization says participation in the cookie program provides Girl Scouts with experience in goal setting, money management, decision making and customer interaction.
Cookies may be purchased directly from Girl Scouts, at community booth sales, or online. Consumers who do not know a Girl Scout may locate nearby sales using the Girl Scout Cookie Finder by entering a zip code.
