April 29, 2026 – Young entrepreneurs from the Central Illinois CEO program are ready to turn their ideas into reality at an upcoming community trade show. Fifteen high school juniors and seniors will debut their own student-run businesses during the CEO Trade Show on Wednesday, May 6.

The CEO—Creating Entrepreneurial Opportunities—program offers a hands-on approach to learning, giving students the chance to build and operate real businesses from the ground up. Throughout the year, participants gain experience in leadership, financial management, marketing, and customer service while connecting with local business leaders.

This year’s event will feature 15 unique brands, each reflecting the creativity and drive of its student founder. Community members can browse and shop a wide range of products and services, all developed by the students themselves.

The trade show runs from 5 to 7 p.m. in the former Sears corridor at Hickory Point Mall in Forsyth. Organizers say community support plays a vital role—not only helping students financially, but also boosting their confidence as they prepare for future careers.

Residents are encouraged to attend, support local youth, and get a firsthand look at the next generation of Central Illinois business leaders.
