May 24, 2026 – A community gathering will take place June 24 at the Hickory Point Garden Homes clubhouse in recognition of the National Day of Joy, an annual observance established by Comfort Keepers in 2019 and registered with the National Day Archives.

The event is intended to bring together caregivers, clients, staff, referral partners and community members to recognize and build connections across generations. This year’s theme, “Joy Between Generations,” highlights relationships between families while acknowledging the challenges faced by individuals caring for both children and aging parents.

Comfort Keepers organizes National Day of Joy events in communities across the country. The local event on June 24 will include a community cookout, with food provided for attendees. Comfort Keepers apparel will also be distributed during the gathering.

Organizers say the event is designed to encourage attendance from as many community members as possible and to provide an opportunity for in-person connection among local partners, caregivers, and families associated with Comfort Keepers.
