June 8, 2026 – Residents are invited to attend the next meeting of the Coalition of Neighborhood Organizations (CONO) on Tuesday, June 16, at the Decatur Public Library.
The meeting will begin at 5:30 p.m. in the Madden Room on the library’s first floor at 130 North Franklin Street. The event is free and open to all residents, with meetings typically lasting about one hour.
The featured guest speaker will be a representative from the African-American Cultural & Genealogical Society of Illinois, Inc. Museum, who will discuss the organization’s upcoming Juneteenth celebration in Decatur.
In addition, neighborhood leaders will provide updates on activities and developments taking place in their respective areas.
CONO officials encourage all residents to attend, including those who do not currently belong to an organized neighborhood group. There is no charge to attend meetings or to join a neighborhood organization.
