June 18, 2026 – The Macon County Farm Bureau is seeking nominations for the Macon County Farmers Hall of Fame, an annual recognition honoring individuals whose dedication and leadership have helped shape agriculture in Macon County.
The nomination period is now open, with applications due by July 1. Community members are encouraged to nominate individuals who have made significant contributions to the local agriculture industry through years of service, innovation, leadership, or support of farming and rural communities.
According to the Macon County Farm Bureau, the Hall of Fame was created to preserve the rich history of agriculture in Macon County while recognizing those who have worked to strengthen and advance the industry for future generations.
“We want to recognize and celebrate these individuals who have contributed a great deal of time and effort into the agriculture industry with their years of service to make agriculture in Macon County better for us all,” the organization said in announcing the nomination period.
The Macon County Farm Bureau serves as a voice for local agriculture, representing farmers and promoting agricultural education, leadership development, and advocacy on issues affecting the farming community. The organization is part of a statewide network working to support Illinois agriculture and rural communities.
