Congrats to our amazing Teacher of the Month – Mrs. Kristine Boomer, English as a Second Language teacher at John’s Hill.
In her multiple nominations, she was described as someone who goes the extra mile!
‘Her entire life is devoted to her students. She is fully committed to helping them learn and become more comfortable in a second language. However, she does not just stop with her students; she works with their families and helps find community resources they need. She helps ESL high school students learn how to navigate the public bus system so they can get to school. She is an interpreter for educational meetings across the district. She even assists during the summer to help ESL families register for school. Kris always goes above and beyond for all of her students and their families. She is a huge asset to our school community!’
She received a ton of goodies, including a $100 Visa Gift card from 1st Mid America CU, balloons from The Party Shop, Texas Roadhouse, a massage from Cloud 9, Del’s Popcorn on Merchant, and more…
