Cardi B is speaking openly about the challenges of trusting people as her career reaches new heights.
During an Instagram Live session on October 27, the rapper discussed feeling increasingly frustrated by what she believes is jealousy and resentment from people in her personal circle.
Cardi explained that success has made it difficult to know who genuinely supports her. She said even sharing good news about business deals or personal achievements can feel uncomfortable because of how certain people might react.
The Grammy-winning artist also acknowledged that these experiences are changing her attitude toward others.
“I feel like I’m getting colder and meaner,” she admitted, describing how repeated disappointments have affected her relationships.
Cardi clarified that her concerns involve people she knows personally, rather than critics or strangers on social media. She did not identify anyone involved.
The 34-year-old also discussed wanting more distance from certain relationships, including the possibility of changing her phone number.
Her comments come during a busy period in her music career, following the success of her second studio album, Am I the Drama?
