November 8, 2026 – State Representative Regan Deering and State Senator Sally Turner are partnering with the Illinois Secretary of State and Treasurer’s offices to bring state services to Forsyth later this month.

A Mobile DMV and I-Cash event is scheduled for Monday, November 23, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Forsyth Public Library, located at 268 South Elwood Street.

The Mobile DMV will offer several services, including driver’s license renewals and corrections, state ID applications, vehicle sticker sales, organ donor registration, voter registration and REAL ID applications.

Driving tests will not be available, and residents age 79 and older must visit a regular DMV facility to renew their driver’s licenses.

Appointments are required for all DMV services. Residents can schedule an appointment by visiting RepDeering.com and selecting the Mobile DMV Event link, or by calling Deering’s office at 217-876-1968.

The Illinois Treasurer’s Office will also be available to help residents search for unclaimed property and file claims through the I-Cash program. No appointment is needed for I-Cash assistance.

More information about unclaimed property is available at I-Cash dot Illinois Treasurer dot com.
