January 25, 2026 – The results are in for the 2025 Guns and Hoses Red Kettle Challenge. Congratulations to the Decatur Fire Department!
While inclement weather along with other issues put a damper on the festivities December 12 and 13th, Decatur First Responders gave their all from 8am until 6pm to support The Salvation Army.
The groups collectively raised a total of $6,354.61 this year.
“This annual event started in 2011 with the County Fire Department vs. the Sheriff Department raising $10,214 with the County Fire Department winning that year. During the past 14 years the event has raised over $200,000 to support the programs of The Salvation Army. What an incredible event to support our Community,” the Salvation Army said in its release.
