April 30, 2024 -The City of Decatur is seeking public feedback about electric vehicle (EV) knowledge and where charging stations and other infrastructure would be best deployed in Decatur.
A public survey HERE is gathering insights into the community’s knowledge and familiarity with EVs, charging stations, and preferences on charging station locations. This feedback will help the city consultant better identify information, electric grid, and infrastructure needs in Decatur and Macon County. The survey takes about five minutes to complete.
The City’s consultant will use the results to prepare an Electric Vehicle Readiness Plan (EVRP) with funding support from the Illinois Department of Transportation. The city says the EVRP will put Decatur in a better position to obtain grants for future EV charging equipment and other EV infrastructure.
Residents and businesses can submit feedback by taking the survey before May 15, 2024.
